Founded in 1973, Hungry Howie’s Pizza is a national pizza franchise that is loyal to its tradition of providing delicious, high-quality and original Flavored Crust® pizzas including eight flavors: butter, butter cheese, cajun, garlic herb, onion, ranch, sesame and Asiago cheese. With over 40 years of experience, Hungry Howie’s is consistently ranked as one of the Top 10 Pizza Franchises in the nation. From its humble beginnings in Taylor, MI, Hungry Howie’s Pizza has grown to almost 600 locations in 21 states across the U.S.

In my position as a Field Marketing Consultant, I was responsible for the implementation of store grand openings and initial marketing plans. Internally, I worked with the Executive Vice President of Marketing, Creative Director, Senior Field Marketing Consultant, Marketing Coordinator, Franchise Consultants, and Franchisees. Externally, I worked directly with printing vendors, rental companies, local Chambers of Commerce, and customers. Over the course of eight months, I opened multiple stores in North Carolina, Michigan, and Texas while also visiting stores in Mississippi and Texas to assist in further marketing initiatives.

Under the guidance of the Senior Field Marketing Consultant, I executed store grand openings and initial marketing plans. Monitoring the Grand Opening checklist and tracking spending to stay within budget.

Additionally, I also assisted the Digital Marketing Strategist scheduling and executing national and regional organic social posts on Facebook. I also monitored and executed customer resolution and online reputation management on all social platforms and assisted franchisees with Local Online Blitz (LOB) campaigns.


Below are further details on my essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Act as Project Lead on strategic marketing initiatives

  • Under the guidance of the Senior Field Marketing Consultant, executes store grand opening and initial marketing plans

    • Monitors Grand Opening Checklist and tracks spending to stay within budget

    • Sets up VIP Grand Opening parties, including rental equipment, ordering, donations, and Chamber ribbon cutting ceremony

    • Reviews new store marketing plans with franchisees

    • Review and orders marketing materials as needed

    • Manage pre and post Grand Opening schedule

  • Under the guidance of the Senior Field Marketing Consultant, corresponds directly with franchisees to monitor and maintain regional and local marketing plans

    • Provides reminders on upcoming deadlines

    • Conducts plan changes as needed

    • Monitor approval of all plan changes and proofs

    • Mails hard copies of free standing insert(s) to stores for reference

  • Assist with scheduling between the Marketing Department and franchisees

  • Franchisee consultation and local store digital/traditional media planning

    • Assist in media execute as requested by the franchise

  • Under the guidance of the Digital Marketing Strategist, hold the following duties:

    • Responsible for scheduling and executing national and regional organic social posts on Facebook. Assisting with additional social communication as needed

    • Monitor and execute customer resolution and online reputation management on all social platforms

  • Assist Franchisees with Local Online Blitz (LOB) campaigns

    • Execute marketing initiatives as needed
